Management Team
Greg Tilden is the President of Timberline Energy and directs the management team. Mr. Tilden’s experience includes design and management of pipelines and power generation projects worldwide. Mr. Tilden has been involved in natural gas pipelines and processing for over 25 years.
Before establishing Timberline Energy, Mr. Tilden worked as a project consultant and in a project management role on natural gas pipeline projects. He has also installed and operated electric generating plants in several countries, the largest being the 620 MW Central Piedra Buena Electric generating plant in Bahia Blanca, Argentina.
J. D. Hopper is the CEO of Timberline Energy. He is also President of both Mowood, Inc. (Timberline Energy’s parent company) and Omega Pipeline Company, LLC which operates a natural gas pipeline in Missouri.
Mr. Hopper has worked as Vice President and General Manager at Kinder Morgan Power Company, General Manager of the Platte River Power Authority, and Chief Operating Officer for Barlow Projects Inc. (BPI). While at Kinder Morgan, the organization signed approximately 5000 mWs in combined cycle natural gas power plant commitments. At Platte River, Mr. Hopper was responsible to a Board of Directors for operations of a gas and electric utility and participated in the development of three large coal-fired power plants including in excess of $1 billion in power project financings. At BPI, he worked closely with the waste industry to develop renewable energy plants that burned waste to produce steam.
Joseph F. Pirozzoli, P.E., C.E.M. is Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Pirozzoli has over 25 years experience as an engineering and project manager of energy and related mechanical projects. His expertise includes developing and implementing electric- and gas-generating projects and comprehensive energy solutions.
Mr. Pirozzoli has achieved results for end-use energy conservation measures and projects to reduce building and facility capital and operating costs, lower energy/water use and improve indoor environments/air quality.
His project experience includes: CHP (cogeneration), mechanical and HVAC systems/equipment performance improvements, temperature control strategies, building automation, lighting and electrical system improvements (including UPS), power quality/power factor correction, water conservation, utility rate analysis and budgeting, energy (electric and gas) procurement/risk management, and detailed financial evaluations.
Mark Oliger is Director of Operations for Timberline Energy, and has 30 years experience in the natural gas and landfill gas industries. His experience ranges from natural gas measurement services to development and management of landfill gas sites.
Mr. Oliger was responsible for Wichita Gas Producers, LLC located at the Brooks Landfill in Wichita Kansas with collection system covering 250 acres and 131 vertical wells. This well-field recovers approximately 4.0 million cubic feet of landfill gas per day which is compressed and transported down an eleven-mile pipeline to Abengoa Bioenergy (an ethanol producer that uses the landfill gas directly in their steam boilers for their manufacturing process).
Mr. Oliger was also responsible for Oklahoma Gas Producers, LLC located at the Southeast Landfill in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with a collection system of 96 vertical wells over 120 acres. This well-field recovers approximately 2.9 million cubic feet of landfill gas per day and is distributed to three end-users: Georgia Gulf; General Motors; and Campbell Asphalt. Campbell Asphalt also uses the landfill gas in their manufacturing processes. Mr. Oliger joined Timberline in 2007.
